Italian Cuisine & Wines World Summit, in anticipation of the Hong Kong event
The Italian Cuisine & Wines World Summit, now in its 10th year, will celebrate this important anniversary with an itinerant event, returning after 6 editions in Dubai, to Hong Kong. The great cities of Southeast Asia were witness to the birth of the Summit thanks, above all, to restaurants such as Bombana 8 ½, Gaia, Spasso, Isola, Divino, Angelini and Grissini, who have all continued to participate in the event since its inception.
The Hong Kong event, to be held from 6 to 10 November, under the aegis of the Consulate General of Italy and promoted by Itchefs-Gvci, the international network of over 2500 Italian chefs and professionals operating in over 70 countries worldwide, therefore assumes a particularly symbolic significance which will be worthily celebrated with a program of great prestige and flair.
A spectacular and exclusive Gala dinner on November 6 will open the program of events dedicated to Hong Kong, a sort of homage to the foreign city that has left an indelible mark on the history of Italian cuisine in the world.
10 chefs from Italy (including Heinz Beck, La Pergola*** – Waldorf Astoria Hotel Rome; Vincenzo Candiano, Locanda Don Serafino**, Ragusa; Gaetano Trovato, Arnolfo**, Colle Val D’Elsa; Enrico Bartolini Mudec**, Milan; and Felice Lo Basso, Felix Lo Basso Restaurant*, Milan), together with the best Italian chefs in Hong Kong, will prepare a unique, irreplicable menu.
In the course of the evening a special tribute will be paid to Pino Piano, a professional who, during his 25-year career as head of several restaurants in the city, has profoundly changed the history of Italian cuisine in Hong Kong.
